Drama Inspires Bursary

Drama Inspires Bursary: Connect, Inspire and Raise Awareness

Would you like to inspire your children and young people with something exciting in the classroom?

You might:-

  • Work with a theatre company with your BTEC or GCSE class
  • Partner with a local community organisation on a verbatim or devised project
  • Create a new scheme of work on a new practitioner, style or play, with another Drama teacher locally
  • Create a transition project using Drama to support Year 6s starting secondary school

These are just possibilities, and National Drama welcomes suggestions for any new projects that will establish, extend or enhance knowledge and understanding of drama and theatre education.

National Drama offers up to £500 to support partnership/transport/cover/resources fees, allowing members to inspire students in new ways and be an active part of Drama and Performing Arts communities.

This bursary is open to ALL our members: undergraduates; early careers or long-established teachers; MA or PhD students; Primary or SEND teachers who wish to use drama across the curriculum; Secondary teachers who want to extend their students’ examination experiences; a Youth Theatre director initiative or a community practitioner with an interest in theatre, drama or social justice.

Bursary applications open on the 1st February and close on the 31st May.
