Social and Emotional Learning Through Drama

This research was developed in conjunction with the Royal Shakespeare Company as part of their Time to Act programme exploring the power of using RSC rehearsal room techniques in the classroom. The aim of the research was to explore how drama can support well-being for young people through action and reflection. I use student voice to produce qualitative data on students’ social and emotional learning and explore how the ability to engage in the drama learning, and then reflect on the experience, can support mental health in our young.
