Physical Theatre with Frantic Assembly (London Drama in partnership with National Drama)
On Saturday 8th July 10am-3pm at University of London, Goldsmiths, a practitioner from Frantic Assembly will lead a 4 hour session on the Frantic Method of devising.
This highly energetic and creative workshop allows teachers to access Frantic Assembly’s unique approach to creating physical material.
Frantic Assembly’s Teacher Training workshops are perfect for teachers and practitioners working with young people who wish to extend their knowledge and practice of devising and physical theatre techniques. No prior experience is necessary.
Experience the processes used to create Frantic Assembly’s award-winning shows and find out how to develop key skills crucial to the performer/director relationship.
Learn new and exciting approaches to devising work from a recommended theatre company on Edexcel, IB, WJEC, AQA and OCR exam syllabuses
Build your own physical confidence, develop your skills and transfer them to your classroom.
Frantic Assembly’s productions include The Unreturning, Fatherland, Things I Know To Be True, Othello, Beautiful Burnout, Lovesong, Stockholm andThe Believers. They have also provided movement direction on the award-winning National Theatre production, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time, as well as movement direction on the BAFTA nominated British/American TV series Humans .
